We had never stayed here before, but had been the the hotel several times for afternoon tea. The rooms were as sumptuously luxurious as the restaurant. The staff were friendly and not stuffy to a young gay couple, and very accommodating. The staff made sure that we had everything we needed and ran a small errand for us when we were pressed for time. The location was perfect. It was an outstanding stay and we would recommend it highly to other travellers.

beautiful architecture and history, location was close to the old city our bathroom was lovely compared to the room with heated floor and marble everything
although pricey our room was dark and very small and the bed was tiny and low the cost of breakfast or room service was prohibitive and therefore we ate elsewhere i.e. $7 for a cup of tea per person to start the day decor needs a rethink... leopard print carpet ....really ? i also like to have an area where i can sit and do my makeup in the room however as the lighting in the room was so poor I could only stand at the sink in the bathroom to do my hair and makeup,

We loved the location, close to so many things, but not in the midst of "downtown Vieux Montreal". Staff was great, very friendly.
Concierges, while helpful, did not seem to know the best restaurants to recommend.
